Absorbent Gauze is cotton fabric of plain weave, supplied invarious widths and lengths. The Gauze is bleached and free from anysizing, dressing or filling material. The yarn used is machine spuncotton yarn, of suitable count to comply with bleached cottonbetween 17 and 25 in the finished fabric.
When used as a medical dressing, gauze is generally made ofcotton. It is especially useful for dressing wounds where otherfabrics might stick to the burn or laceration.
